Samuel Barber
Yes, I know that I'm supposed to be writing about Bahrain and everything, but you know, I just had to say a little something about Samuel Barber. I'm listening to his Adagio for Strings right now and it is just such a masterpiece. Symphonetters, remember our fantastic journey to Orlando in 2006?! And every time the string section played this piece, Christina and I would end up crying and then I would always have to give the tuning note right after that. It just brings back wonderful memories of the deep south and frolicking fun, and of course, DISNEY WORLD!!!!!!!

Ah, yes, the Adagio for strings.
The piece that really reinds me of symphonette is the Rusalka aria, you don't hear that much else where.
